By joining our medical volunteer and elective program, you will work alongside local medical professionals, gaining invaluable experience and witnessing the healthcare system in a developing country firsthand. Whether you are completing a medical elective, interested in medicine, or a qualified staff member, our diverse and unique medical experiences will expose you to different illnesses, treatments, and techniques. Effective Placement:

Every year, we host university students on their elective placements. Over time, we have built strong relationships with many universities in the United Kingdom and abroad, with several universities actively recommending us to their students. We are experienced in completing the necessary paperwork required by your university and ensuring that your course requirements, such as minimum hours and placement settings, are met.

Travel & Volunteer Experiences:

Our travel and volunteer experiences combine rewarding volunteer projects with exciting adventures. Explore Tanzania as a group, visiting famous landmarks, engaging in thrilling activities, and meeting friendly locals. These experiences allow you to immerse yourself in the community and culture while making a positive impact in the area.
With a structured itinerary that maximizes your time and minimizes transit, you'll travel in a small group by private mini-bus. Throughout your stay, our local coordinator will accompany you, providing insights into the local culture and history, enhancing your experience. These structured and safe programs are ideal for first-time and solo travelers. We offer comprehensive pre-departure support and assistance with all aspects of your trip. 

Program Requirements:

Volunteers must be 18 years or older at the time of joining the program. Medical volunteers are required to provide a CV, passport copy, and other relevant documents and credentials related to their qualifications.

Pre-med, medical, nursing, CNAs, midwifery, and dental students are welcome to join the program. 

Volunteer Roles:

As a volunteer, your primary task will be to shadow professionals and assist them based on your skills. Volunteer roles include:

- Maternity ward
- Eye clinic
- Dental department
- General health issues in women, children, and men wards
- Surgical theater
- Physiotherapy (working alongside three physiotherapists)
- First Aid department
- Laboratory and research
- Ultrasound facilities 

Airport Transfer:
We provide airport pick-up services to ensure a smooth arrival. Our coordinators will be ready to welcome you and assist you throughout your stay.

Daily Transport:
Our coordinators will provide transportation to and from your project site.

Orientation:
Upon arrival, our local coordinator will provide an orientation session, introducing you to your project and the local area.

Accommodation:
Accommodation near the hospital will be provided. Please note that it may be basic but comfortable.

Meals:
Meals will include local ingredients and a variety of options such as meat, chicken, seafood, vegetarian dishes, as well as favorites like "chips"
